After reading a story in our reading book titled: Lemonade for Sale by Stuart J. Murphy, we held our own lemonade sale to raise funds for cancer research. "Alex's Lemonade Stand" is named for a young cancer patient Alexandra Scott, who set up a lemonade stand of her own to raise money to find a cure for all children with cancer. She lost her battle with cancer, but her legacy lives on through the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).
