Saugus High School Band

Trip Info

This year the Saugus High School Band will be taking a trip to Colonial Williamsburg. The trip will include a stop in New York City for a Broadway show and an adjudication and a performance at the Heritage Music Festival. An awards ceremony at Bush Gardens, and a day at Colonial Williamsburg will also be included in this year's exciting trip.

We will be traveling via Brush Hill motor coach buses and working with the Heritage Music Festival Company. The trip is a SHS school sanctioned event. The rules and regulations outlined in the SHS student handbook will be in place 24/7 throughout the trip. We will be traveling with (3) faculty members and a nurse. Parents are welcome to join us if they are agreeable to occasional support roles.

The cost of the trip is $650.00 per student (quad rooms) and $720.00 for adults (based on double occupancy). These quoted prices are the maximum costs based on 80% participation. They may drop if participation exceeds 80% and/or if donations become available from outside sources. Band and Chorus fundraising will also defer trip costs. Students will receive credit based on their individual fundraising participation. Each student will be given an individual trip account with credit subtracted from the original price. A deposit of $200 will be due from all participants on or before November 1, 2007. Your deposit is needed to secure group rate theatre tickets, Festival placement, hotel and bus accommodations.

Adult seats are limited and are on a first come first serve basis.
