5 Periods 5 Credits Prerequisites: Open to grade 9 or 10 students with a B+ to C in grade 8 science. The life sciences investigate the diversity, complexity, and interconnections of life on earth. This course stresses the basic unity of life from the simplest form to man. The learning strands include: The Chemistry of life, Structure and Function of Cells, Genetics, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Evolution and Biodiversity and Ecology. Students participate in laboratories in all of the above topics. |
