ALLIGATORS

Alligators live in many parts of the world like in southeast of America, Africa, Australia, and South America. Alligators have a very powerful bite one that would crush your hand, but their opening jaw mussels are very weak. Alligators are predators so they eat meat that includes fish, birds, crustations. Alligators may look like crocodiles, but their are some differences. Alligator 's teeth stay in their mouth. Alligators have a wide snout, too. Alligators lay eggs like other reptiles. After the eggs hatch, the mother comes and carries them in her mouth across the body of water its near to new grounds for food. The alligator is the largest reptile in America, almost extinct until the 1960s when laws were passed to protect them from poachers.

CROCODILES

Crocodiles are around 15 feet long and in South America can be 23 feet long. Their diet includes crabs, raccoons, water birds, and fish. The crocodile female lays her eggs in a mound of plant matter and after hatching she carries them one by one into the water. Male crocs are found so many times in the ocean except the younger ones who stay in the fresh water canals. Crocodiles have their teeth stick out of their mouths and they have a narrow snout. There are two ways you can tell the difference between a crocodile and an alligator.
