Boxing history
This site is about the history of boxing and how it originated. Boxing started around 4000 b.c and it didn't get popular until 686 b.c. Boxing didn't get into the Olympic games until 688 b.c. There were not any weight groups like today, and all fighters fought in one class even if they were 100 pounds, one could fight someone 250 pounds, it didn't matter.
Boxing evolved over the years from brawls to an actual sport. Today, people win fights by winning points in the rounds they fight, or if they are good enough they can knock their opponent out and win by K.O. (knock out) There are times when a boxer wins by T.K.O (technical knock out) which means the referee stops the fight for the safety of the boxer. This mostly happens in amature boxing matches.
Points can be deducted if there are low blows, head buts , elbows or any dirty way of fighting.
