THE FIRST COMPUTER

This page is about the first programable
computer. The first programable computer was called the ENIAC.
The ENIAC was developed for military purposes during World War
Two. It was developed by Army Ordnance to compute World War Two
ballistic firing tables. The project to build the computer baegan
in 1943. The first production of the ENIAC began in the fall of
1945 and it was completed in 1946. The ENIAC was the prototype
for most modern day compters. It embodied almost all of the copmponents
and concepts of today's high-speed, electronic digital computers.
