Gum Shield - Another word for mouth guard. Most important thing to a Rugby player.

Head - Usually made from light plastic materials capable of taking serious impact. They're often used by front row forwards to prevent blows to the head and damage to their ears.

Shirt - Rugby shirts need to be able to take plenty of tugging and pulling. They also need to be lightweight, comfortable and strong at the same time.

Shorts - Rugby shorts are traditionally made from cotton, designed to take the strains of rugby union.

Boots - Traditional rugby boots are very similar to football boots, but the thing that makes them different is a high back to give extra support to the ankle.

Upper Body - A lightweight and durable set of shoulder pads made to be comfortable.
