Hurricane Katrina was the first category five hurricane of the 2005 Atlantic season. It was the biggest tragedy of mother nature to ever hit the United States. It had winds of 175 mph. The hurricane hit Louisiana the 28th and 29th of August 2005. The state of Louisiana, which is located below sea level, flooded rapidly when Hurricane katrina hit. Hurricane Katrina is known as " humanitarian crisis " that has not been seen in theUnited States since the Great Depression.
