Hurricane Katrina left many people without homes. Over one million people had no where to live. People properties and valuables were destroyed. The hurricane left five million people without power. The death toll of Hurricane Katrina stands at 1,325. People were forced to leave Louisiana so they could be safe.

 

 

The Superdome housed up to 30,000 hurricane survivors when they were forced to evacuate. It will be torn down because the hurricane damaged it.

 

   

 

People who were in jail were also released. This caused more chaos in the state. There were more rapes, murders, and robberies ocurring in Louisiana. People did not have any food or clean water. Most of the people were sick and weakened from the disaster.
